Leaks suggest Anthropic may roll out Claude Fable 5.5 today, a model described as intent‑aware, according to community posts.
User @0xOrbitSpace wrote that the upcoming model “has one job: figure out what you meant, not what you typed,” citing a report from The Information that it is built to pick up on unspoken intentions. The post notes that an Azure catalog entry for “claude‑fable‑5‑5” appeared on Oct 13 as “Generally Available” before being removed, and that leakers claim partners already have access. Unreleased Claude names “Onigiri” and “Verrine” were observed in the Devin CLI, and the user points out that both Fable 5 and 5.1 launched on Tuesdays, making today a plausible launch day.
Another community member, @LovekeshAnand07, also posted that Claude Fable 5.5 may launch today, listing rumored upgrades such as “better reasoning, intuition, and understanding vague prompts.” The tweet repeats the same signals—Azure listing, partner access, and new Devin CLI codenames—and again notes the Tuesday launch pattern of prior Fable versions.
Both posts reference the direction set in the Fable 5 documentation, which states that a brief instruction can steer most behavior and that prompts written for older models can degrade output. If the model arrives as described, the focus may shift from crafting perfect prompts to conveying actual intent.
