Cognition announced that the Devin command‑line interface now supports a Fusion harness that pairs two models for coding tasks.
According to Cognition’s documentation, the Fusion harness is built for the Fable and Astra models and delivers up to 39% more efficiency than other model harnesses across major coding benchmarks. The rollout includes both Devin Desktop and the CLI.
One user, @spdling, posted on X that they added Fusion to the CLI, noting that it “combines two models in one harness for frontier performance at lower cost.” The user observed that Fable and Astra exhibit different delegation behaviors—Fable favors early exploration while Astra emphasizes rigorous code review—and encouraged developers to try various pairings.
