Cognition announced today that its Devin Review 2.0 feature now costs $0.25‑$0.75 per pull request, an 82% reduction from earlier pricing. The company said the lower price makes AI‑driven code review affordable enough to run on every PR.
According to Cognition, the cost cut was achieved through a revised mix of models and harness optimizations introduced in August. The company also reported that the average number of bugs found per PR rose from 1.22 to 1.32 after the change, and that each bug fixed costs about $2.25 on average across its customers.
Devin Review 2.0 now runs about 1.5 times faster, with median latency dropping to 94 seconds from 139 seconds. The update adds incremental review, so repeated runs only re‑analyze changed code, and includes configurable per‑PR spend limits to prevent runaway costs. Users can trigger reviews with a /devin review comment in GitHub or GitLab, or enable automatic reviews through the Devin Cloud or Desktop interfaces.
The release also introduces two new options: Devin Review Ultra, a higher‑effort mode for sensitive code areas, and Custom Reviewers (beta), which let teams create specialized checks that run alongside bug detection.
