Cognition is quietly building a partnerships machine

The product ships an agent. The partnerships ship an outcome: your CVE backlog, cleared, with a human reviewing every merge.

Cognition’s summer news has mostly been read as product news — Fusion, FrontierCode, Desktop releases. Read the July 28 LTM partnership announcement alongside the hiring chatter and the compliance filings, and a second storyline emerges: the company is assembling enterprise distribution to match its engineering output.

The LTM deal, in concrete terms

The partnership puts Devin inside BlueVerse RightLogic, a managed, outcome-based service run by LTM — whose security practice serves 260+ clients including 26 of the Fortune 500 and the top five global banks. The published mechanics:

  • RightLogic ingests findings from scanners the enterprise already runs, prioritizes by business criticality and regulatory exposure, and routes high-confidence fixes to Devin for end-to-end remediation while LTM engineers take what needs human judgment. Every fix is reviewed by a person before it merges.
  • The service is designed to clear 80% of an enterprise’s CVE backlog, up from LTM’s previous 60% — “jointly backed by LTM and Cognition.”
  • It’s the first of five planned joint offerings, starting in banking/financial services and expanding into application modernization and SDLC transformation.

The engine underneath is Devin Security Swarm, where Cognition claims major enterprises are finding “more verified vulnerabilities at 30% lower cost than the nearest comparable alternative” — detection, runtime exploit validation, and remediation PRs as one loop.

The people and the paperwork

Two supporting signals. First, the reported hire: @itsmainstreamtv reported August 7 that Art Levy is joining Cognition as VP of Global Partnerships, after eight years at Brex — most recently as Chief Business Officer through its reported $5.15B sale to Capital One. We haven’t seen an announcement from Cognition itself, so treat the hire as reported, not confirmed; notably, the LTM post quotes Gardner Johnson with a Global Partnerships VP title in July, so the partnerships org appears to be growing seats, whoever holds which one.

Second, the compliance track: Cognition announced FedRAMP High “In Process” status earlier this year — the paperwork prerequisite for the U.S. federal market, which buys the same way regulated banks do: through authorized platforms and accountable integrators.

Put the pieces in one column — an outcome-based managed service with a marquee integrator, four more joint offerings queued, a senior partnerships hire reported in from fintech M&A, FedRAMP in process, and the TierZero acquisition extending Devin toward production operations — and the pattern is hard to miss. The product ships an agent. The partnerships ship outcomes.

Method: Partnership terms, percentages, and quotes are from Cognition's published posts (fetched 2026-08-12). The Art Levy hire and Brex figures are from a media X post and are labeled reported. The "distribution machine" framing is desk interpretation.
